Seculex was the agency era.
After I sold the first company, I kept taking on work. AI tooling, security, web apps. At 13 it did $8k in three months. Enough to confirm the obvious: people will pay if you can actually ship.
What we took on
- Custom AI tooling. Products that had to sit inside real workflows, not demo-well.
- Security work. The unglamorous parts. Threats, hardening, the stuff that only matters when it fails.
- Web apps. Full-stack, meant to stay up.
What I kept from it
Agencies teach you a specific lesson. Clients don’t care about your stack. They care if the thing works on Thursday.
It was a good run. Then I wanted to build a product again.
